Families who need financial aid for ComEd bills may be eligible for help directly from ComEd.
Interested ComEd customers should contact ComEd’s customer care team as soon as possible at 800-334-7661, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to take advantage of new and existing assistance options. More information is also available at ComEd.com/CARE.
For the month of October 2020, St. Vincent de Paul has served 229 families at the food pantry and has provided financial assistance for 44 families.
You can now get financial assistance on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00-2:30 p.m.
Call the pantry at 815-625-0311 during these hours to request assistance.

Governor Pritzker joined the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) today to announce a major expansion in funding for the state’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) programs. The $275 million total funding includes an additional $90 million allocated via the CARES Act, allowing the state to increase eligibility for these programs to 1 million income-qualified Illinoisans. These programs will provide emergency relief for families and displaced households across the state as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, with programs offering assistance with utilities, rent, and other household necessities for income qualifying residents.
