WHITESIDE AREA CAREER CENTER HELPS GIVE SVdP LOCATION A NEW LOOK.

The Building Trades Class under the direction of instructor Matthew Hicks through the Whiteside Area Career Center in Sterling volunteered their time and labor to install new vinyl siding on the building occupied by the SVdP Society of Sterling. St. Mary Parish owner of the building, and their pastor, Fr. James R. Keenan, contributed the cost of materials and the Building Trades Class provided the free time and labor. SVdP operates a food pantry and financial aid assistance to community families in need of these services at this building on Sixth Street. SVdP extends a huge thank you to Fr. Keenan, St. Mary’s Parish, and the WACC, Mr. Hicks, and the Building Trades Class in working together to provide new siding on the building. It is evident with this project that working together makes a difference. God bless everyone involved in making this project a reality in our community.
